Description
Little sister is a series of illustrations telling us a story about the changes and growing up. The main character is a girl drawn in various situations. Each illustration is enriched with a short text.
Illustrations were created during the Inktober challenge 2019.
Inktober is a month-long art challenge created by an artist Jake Parker and this initiative is focused on skills’ improvement as well as developing of positive drawing habits. Every day for the month of October anyone participating in the Inktober challenge creates a series of ink drawings. Illustrators from all over the world take the challenge up and publish their works on the Internet as well as in printing.
While making illustrations on given topics, I came up with the idea that they should be connected to each other by the main theme – the main character. While drawing, I noticed that the illustrations have started forming a kind of story. For 31 days, I have created a story where the real world and the world of imagination are mixed together. For each illustration, I have added texts that appeared in my head while drawing. In this way the story about changes, kind of a journey through time and life was born.
